When did you open Ockhee and what made you want to?
We opened just after the first lockdown in 2020 and my partner Lisa and I worked in hospitality with a passion, we had a vision of serving authentic Korean food to kiwis the way we thought it should be!
Where does your passion come from?
My passion comes from me wanting to be happy doing what I believe in and love doing the most. Serving our food with the pride of being Korean.
What’s the toughest part about your passion?
Working crazy hours to be honest haha, not being able to have any balanced lifestyle and have time for yourself.
We love your merch, can we expect some new stuff coming soon?
Hahaha I love this question! Thank you and we are working on releasing glassware.
What’s the Ockhee dish everyone should try?
I would say our staple noodle salad! The dish is called Chun Sa Chae Noodle Salad. It’s such a fun dish!
How do you feel about our new passionfruit sparkling water?
I love everything about it! I was amazed by the taste of it and the colour of the can too! Love fruity drinks.
