Pohewa Pāhewa: Te Rūma- Objectspace

Pohewa Pāhewa is a series of exhibitions and events considering design within te ao Māori. Grounded in whakapapa, the kaupapa explores the fundamental differences in how design practice is approached by Māori creatives as a balance of vital mātauranga and radical innovation for the benefit of whānau, hapū and iwi.

Darklight- The Edge of Light

After a sold-out debut earlier this year, the acclaimed light art experience Darklight by Angus Muir returns this September with a bold new chapter: Darklight: The Edge of Light. Set against the sweeping backdrop of Okahu Bay, the exhibition will run from the 2nd to 4th of September, with the return of the much-loved one-night-only music event Resonate on the 5th of September.

Edge of Eternity- Social Gallery

BGI is thrilled to host Edge of Eternity, a monumental triptych by Manawatū-born artist Matt Hunt. Stretching six metres wide, this extraordinary painting blends history, scripture, and science fiction into a single, breathtaking vision. Part altarpiece, part contemporary epic, the work is a bold exploration of belief, power, and the human search for meaning.

Wooly Winter Scarf Workshop- Auckland Art Gallery

Create your own masterpiece this winter, with a scarf-making workshop inspired by an Impressionist painting in the exhibition A Century of Modern Art.  Catrien Kilpatrick will guide you through this beginners level class, so reserve a spot, sip on some Almighty and create your own wooly winter scarf!

I Can't Shake The Stranger Out of You

In their latest solo exhibition at CoCA Toi Moroki, Casey Carsel continues to process the complex composition of self- and peoplehood in the Jewish diaspora. They will expand the symbolist pictorial language of their quilt practice and introduce new possibilities with works in the Jewish paper cutting tradition.

Studio Box - Sweat, Sip, Socialise.

We are excited to be hydrating Studio Box community but in a fun way.
Running every Friday night, 5:30pm-6:15pm class, a cold can of Almighty will be on offer post class. Encouraging you to get your sweat on, stay for a sip and enjoy some socialising.
