Activity | Te Motu-o-Kura
We chatted with Frances Redmond as we walked the Moke Lake loop, stopping halfway to park up and tuck into some Fergbaker sammies.
Friends | Frances Redmond
Meet Frances Redmond, a trail runner based in Tāhuna, Queenstown. We had the best time exploring the area with her and learning all about trail running. Watch her interview on our Instagram.
Food | Sundays Restaurant
We kicked off the pizza tour with some top-quality slices from our mates at Sundays. It's the perfect spot in any season for a pizza and a game of cornhole.
Location | Moke Lake
Just 20 minutes from downtown Queenstown, Moke Lake is an easy 1.5 to 2 hour loop. Wander around the peaceful lake, surrounded by snow-tipped mountains.
Wānaka
Friends | Guy Cotter
Guy Cotter, CEO of Adventure Consultants, has stood on top of Everest five times and has completed the Seven Summits. His impressive background and love for his hometown of Wānaka is what of course drew us to him. Head to our social media to watch our inspiring interview with, Guy.
Activity | Ski Touring
We were lucky enough to go ski touring with Guy Cotter off the main runs of Treble Cone. An amazing experience we won’t forget.
Location | Lindis Pass
A quick break to stretch the legs and soak in the views at the Lindis Pass lookout point. A busy spot packed with people enjoying the scenery. A perfect place to stop for a cold Almighty.
Food | Fairlie Bakehouse
We made a pit stop on our way from Wānaka to our next location. Farlie bakehouse. Some of the best pies we've ever had. A must stop on your next roadie.
Te Whanganui-a-Tara Wellington
Friends | Strait Speared
We hopped in a boat with Straight Speared's Tom and Cole. From builders to free divers, they now work with local restaurants to go out on their boat and catch only what has been ordered that morning.
Activity | Tour of Parrotdog Brewery
Emma (Head of Marketing & Brand) at Parrotdog kindly shouted us a couple of bevvies and took us behind the scenes at the Parrotdog Brewery in Lyall Bay. An iconic spot and perfect for a sunny avo beer.
Location | Mākara Beach
From the crack of dawn to lunchtime, we spent the morning at sea and on land at Mākara Beach. A beautiful spot not far from Wellington’s city centre. Well worth the drive!
Food | Freshly Shucked Oysters
We caught up with Rachel, a self-described “retired fishmonger”, who teaches us how to shuck an oyster on the Wellington waterfront.
Ahuriri, Napier
Activity | Flying with George Bostock
We parked the car up and are lucky enough to catch a lift in the clouds with George Bostock, who gives us a bird’s-eye view of beautiful Te Matau-a-Māui, Hawke’s Bay.
Location | Ahuriri, Napier
The view was pretty epic from up here. We brought a special guest, Vinci, along for the ride to show us around and chat about the local area and where he sources his produce for his restaurant.
Friends | Vincent Michaelsen
Back on solid ground, Vinci owner of Napier pizza hot spot Vinci’s Pizza shows us around his family’s citrus orchard.
Food | Pizza from Vinci's
We had to end the day with a couple of slices from Vinci’s, followed by a quick tutorial with Lorenzo on how to make the perfect pizza (find it on our TikTok @drinkalmighty).
